Nana Aba Anamoah has commended the current government for what she describes as improved economic management nearly a year after it assumed office.
Speaking in an interview with Kwame Dadzie on Joy FM’s Showbiz A-Z, she said although it is still early, the administration appears to be performing better than the previous government did in the latter part of its tenure.
“I will give them 75% to 80% because I think that His Excellency John Dramani Mahama has stabilised the economy. And I think his Finance Minister is doing an excellent job. I think that the economy is doing very well now compared to the last three, four years,” she stated.
The broadcaster also criticised what she described as arrogance among some officials in the previous administration, saying their public utterances, particularly in engagements with journalists, often came across as dismissive.
She added that although there were similar traits during President Mahama’s first term, he appears to have learned from past experiences.
“It’s just a year. Maybe too early in the day but the trajectory looks positive, and I am happy with the work they are doing so far,” she said.
Nana Aba further praised Agnes Naa Momo Lartey for her responsiveness to issues, and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa for his accessibility.
Meanwhile, she is preparing to host the fourth edition of her Women of Valour event in London on March 6, 2026.
